The Emergency Ceasarean Section

The one thing I did not expect during this pregnancy was that I would end up having a caesarean section, being my fourth pregnancy with all the previous babies arriving normally it was a bit scary and confusing to say the least.

One moment I was in the swings of labour the next my baby becomes distressed and I was rushed into the theatre for an emergency section.  Even though it is a very common thing to have a section nothing can prepare you for it.

Now I am stuck with a wound that is healing slowly but surely and left me moving about at the pace of a snail.  Recovery period is said to be six weeks.

Believe it or not I had to inform my car insurance company of my section as I am not covered to drive my car for six weeks which leaves me depending on the other half for every little thing.

Shopping is not allowed for at least two weeks, for someone who does not like depending on anyone this is killing me. Carrying anything other than my newborn is banned as it could stress the wound.
