Some 90 percent of the 43 million Americans aged 60 and over have had chicken pox, and most of them should be vaccinated against shingles, a painful, blistering rash caused by reactivation of the varicella zoster virus that causes chicken pox, the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention says.
